There are various ways to achieve recovery from substance use disorder. The Recovery Peer Advocate is available to assist anyone who is struggling with substance use disorder, regardless of where they are in their journey. Whether you are considering making changes or are ready to take action, the Peer Recovery Advocate is here to listen and provide support.
The Recovery Peer Advocate is a certified, peer-based recovery support service that is non-clinical and aims to help individuals beyond initiation and stabilization and into recovery maintenance. The services provided by the Recovery Peer Advocate include:

- Meet with individuals in Putnam County with behavioral health (substance use and mental health) needs
- Provide advocacy, coaching, and education Act as a guide and mentor through all stages of recovery
- Provide assistance and connection to healthcare, educational, vocational, housing, transportation and related services
- Collaborate with other Peer Recovery Advocates and behavioral health organizations in the community
- Provide expertise to support self-directed recovery, remove obstacles and achieve identified goals
- Help individuals and families initiate and maintain recovery from substance use disorder
- Assist individuals with tools to discontinue substance misuse and reduce negative health outcomes
- We aim to remove any obstacles that may hinder sustained recovery and partner with you every step of the way.
