Behavioral Health Agency Director – cape OF dUTCHESS cOUNTY

JOB STATUS:     SALARIED/EXEMPT                           

JOB TYPE:      FULL-TIME                          

PAY RANGE:     $88,000-105,000                          

SCHEDULE:     MONDAY TO FRIDAY                    

LOCATION:     CAPE OFFICE – WAPPINGERS FALLS                        

The Council on Addiction Prevention and Education (CAPE) of Dutchess County has an immediate opening in Wappingers Falls for a full-time director to manage and supervise program and administrative staff of 16. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or other appropriate license 
  • At least three years of supervisory and leadership experience
  • At least five years of experience in behavioral health that includes working with adolescents and adults 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with governmental regulatory compliance and grant management
  • Valid driver’s license and daily access to a car

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and monitor the daily operation of the organization
  • Recruit, hire, and evaluate staff
  • Establish a positive, healthy, and safe work environment 
  • Prepare reports and proposals
  • Supervise and train clinical staff, recovery/peer engagement specialists, community educator, and youth clubhouse coordinator
  • Represent and advocate for the organization with local, state, and federal officials, funders, and the general public
  • Develop and maintain relationships with school and non-profit agency administrators, and government officials 
  • Ensure compliance with County, State, and Federal Regulations and organization HR policies
  • Oversee marketing and communication activities with stakeholders to further the agency’s mission
  • Oversee fiscal operations and budget
  • Maintain regular communication with the Board and carry out all responsibilities as directed
  • Explore new funding sources and opportunities to ensure the stability and growth of the agency

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High energy, flexibility, detail-oriented, computer proficient, school experience, NYS CPP and CASAC, and ability to communicate in Spanish, a plus
